Bernie's Burger Bus

Fuddruckers can officially move over as my Number One burger spot. Number One spot, meet Bernie's Burger Bus.

Nestled right next to a Red Wing shoe store, it is located at 5407 Bellaire Blvd. in Bellaire (south side), and it's hamburger heaven.

It's a brand new restaurant, opened after the much success of its Food Bus, hence the name.

We sat out on the completely shaded patio at some legit picnic tables. Like seriously, I want one of those for my back yard.

We started off with some hand-cut fries for the Beau man.

Then the large order of the Truffle Fries for the grown-ups.

I had the Pre-Schoolers, two tiny ( but not really) burgers with cheddar, lettuce, roasted tomatoes and some sort of onion chutley.

Bryan had the Homeroom with bacon, cheddar, onions, chipotle aioli and a runny egg. He caught it before it got too far.

They also cater, which may be an option for Bryan's next birthday back at the house. We might have to pay extra for the gas though. But it will be totally worth it.

Downtown Aquarium

BeTuesday, July 1st we went to the Downtown Aquarium, located at 410 Bagby Street @ Memorial Drive.

Every Tuesday they do Buy One Get One of their All Day Adventure Pass. Since Beau was free, we only paid $18.99 for admission.

We went around 10 am, just rode our bikes. It was super packed. We met up a former student of mine and his family. It was hard to enjoy it because it was really crowded in the aquarium, so Beau had to be held at all times. And it was so hot outside we couldn't enjoy the games. So we left and returned at about 6 pm since we still had our wrist bands on.

What a difference that made. There were hardly any people around so Beau could run around like a wild man. It was cool
outside so we rode the carousel and the train.
Beau even fed a sting ray! Not really, but he almost touched one.
Probably the coolest was the Siberian White Tiger. There are usually two, but when we went there was only one. We must have visited it close to feeding time because it was pacing back and forth, and would even put it's front paws on the glass. It was really intense.
We had such a great time we plan in going there next Tuesday.
