Good Dog

Last night we ate at Good Dog Houston, a local hot dog joint off Studemont in the Heights. My husband had the Curryous Frank (6 inch dog with curried onion
relish, hence the name, as well as cilantro chutney, sweet potato crisps, sriracha ketchup and garlic aioli). I had the Chillin' Dog, which was beef and chorizo chili, diced onions and a cheesy sauce topped on to a 6 inch dog, no jalapeƱos (I'm a wimp) and no mustard. They were served on a buttery pillow of bread. Bryan gave his a 6 out of 10 stars, mine was more at a 5. Beau, of course, had the Fresh Cut Fries, and they got 9 stars. We sat outside in the back. The weather was perfect for this, and the mature trees around gave good shade. The crowd varied from singles to families with babies and fur babies. All in all it seemed like a chill place to grab a beer and a dog. We will go again when Beau is older and can sit at a picnic table.
